Our company
Welcome to the Coastal Shipping website. We hope that you enjoy looking through the wide range of books that we offer for sale. Our first book, Whitby Modern Seaport, was published in 1988. Since that time, we have published a wide range of our own books and we also publish for other authors. The bi-monthly magazine Coastal Shipping first appeared in 1994 and is now in its 18th year of publication.
Our team
Maritime author and publisher Bernard McCall heads the team and his wife Doreen looks after administrative details. We are pleased to have the excellent assistance of two secretaries. Anne mainly helps with admin tasks whilst Jacqueline helps on the publishing side.
Order Information
This website allows secure online ordering of books. We hope that customers will register on the site. That makes things very much easier for us and it also helps you, the customer, when you return to the site for a later order. Any information provided on the registration form is purely for our own use. We can guarantee that your details are not given to any third parties under any circumstances. An Express Checkout is available for customers who do not wish to register. By the way, it is not necessary to have a Paypal account in order to pay via Paypal.
Customers are advised that payment for books can be made by cheque (payable to Coastal Shipping). Also orders may be placed directly by telephone.
