Written by Brian Patton, this book examines the history of the Clyde steamers from the earliest days in the 1870s, when the first vessels were designed with passenger comfort for pleasure trips in mind, through to their final demise in the 1970s, when the last of the traditional Clyde steamers, the Queen Mary, was taken out of service.
